Velocity FinCrime Suite Modernizes Global Infrastructure with AWS

A Global Platform Ready for the Next Phase

Velocity FinCrime Suite is a leading platform that helps financial institutions detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions at scale. With its global client base and data-driven risk management tools, Velocity needed to ensure that its cloud environment could grow with rising customer demand while meeting strict security and compliance standards.

As its workloads expanded, the Azure-based infrastructure began to show limitations — performance inconsistencies, increasing operational overhead, and limited regional scalability. To overcome these challenges, Velocity turned to TeleGlobal, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, to design and deliver a cloud foundation that would strengthen its resilience, security, and efficiency across geographies.

The Need for Change

Velocity’s global operations depend on real-time data analysis and high system uptime. Its existing Azure infrastructure was reaching the edge of scalability, impacting both application performance and operational efficiency.

The company sought to:

  • Unify global workloads under a single, resilient cloud platform
  • Ensure secure and compliant access control for all users and services
  • Reduce infrastructure complexity and operational costs
  • Enable scalable compute power for analytics and machine learning workloads
  • Achieve seamless migration with no downtime or data loss

Velocity’s leadership knew that this migration wasn’t just about infrastructure – it was about preparing the business for the next decade of digital growth and innovation.

Partnering with TeleGlobal International

TeleGlobal International was engaged to plan and execute a multi-region Azure-to-AWS migration that would move 48 servers across four AWS regions. The project included designing a new cloud architecture, establishing secure connectivity, and implementing AWS services aligned with Velocity’s compliance and performance goals.

The engagement began with a detailed assessment of the existing setup and a migration blueprint designed to ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime.

How the Migration Was Executed

TeleGlobal International followed a structured, five-phase migration and deployment approach to deliver a seamless transition.

Phase 1: Environment Planning and Security Setup

  • Designed a global AWS architecture with Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), private subnets, and NAT Gateways in four regions.
  • Implemented VPN connections for secure hybrid connectivity during the transition.
  • Replicated all user and access policies in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) with role-based controls and MFA enabled.

Phase 2: Server and Data Migration

  • Used AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) to replicate and migrate 48 servers from Azure to AWS.
  • Leveraged AWS DataSync for fast and secure data transfer.
  • Configured EC2 instances and Auto Scaling Groups for elastic compute capacity.

Phase 3: Monitoring, Protection, and Compliance

  • Integrated Amazon CloudWatch for end-to-end monitoring and alerting.
  • Enabled AWS GuardDuty for real-time threat detection and AWS Inspector for vulnerability scanning.
  • Deployed AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) and CloudFront to protect and accelerate applications globally.

Phase 4: Advanced Enablement and Machine Learning Integration

  • Introduced Amazon SageMaker to streamline fraud detection model training and deployment.
  • Enabled Amazon Bedrock to simplify future integration of foundation AI models into analytics workflows.

Phase 5: Testing, Validation, and Cutover

  • Conducted multiple validation cycles to verify data integrity, network performance, and latency.
  • Final cutover completed with zero downtime and post-migration optimization for cost efficiency.

The Impact

The migration transformed Velocity FinCrime Suite’s infrastructure into a globally scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS ecosystem.

  • 48 servers migrated successfully across 4 regions
  • Zero downtime during final cutover
  • 40% reduction in operational overhead through managed services
  • Enhanced global performance and availability
  • Stronger security posture with IAM, WAF, and private subnets
  • Future-ready platform enabled for AI and machine learning workloads

Future Readiness

Beyond stability and scalability, the migration positioned Velocity for innovation. With AWS SageMaker and Bedrock integrated into its environment, the company can now accelerate the development of AI-driven fraud detection models and predictive compliance systems -supporting faster, smarter decision-making across financial operations.
